I noticed that if you order from a jewelry supply company you could buy a platinum diamond ring for about $700, something that would cost $4-5g from a store. Unfortunately most of these places won't sell to people unless they own a jewelry business for that reason.

I can recommend Ukrainian rings. There are very nice ones
