It's a lab grown ruby. Sapphires and rubies are corundum, crystals of aluminum oxide.

....no you fucking moron. Lab grown just means the crystal was grown under ideal, sped up conditions as opposed to slowly in the ground. Same exact chemical composition and structure, but typically higher clarity and fewer flaws. So objectively better in pretty much every way.
