there was a disgusting aftertaste similar to cough syrup or old candy that was left in the box for too long

That makes me think they accidentally added too much cherry flavoring. It happens. It's rare, but Coke sometimes adds too much lime to their mix and makes it undrinkable.

Oh, maybe. Someone else said it could've been left out in the sun.

So now I have two possible scenarios, if you don't count the Jews (because it's Saidit) and someone nutting into it — which where two comments I got.

I'm pretty confident I'm right, I've been drinking sodas for nearly 4 decades. I have extensive soda experience. It's impressive how much soda is produced without any issues. Batch to batch over the years it's almost always exactly identical. But sometimes there's a goof.

If you contact the company they'd probably want to know about it and will likely send you coupons for free soda. Soda is expensive for what it is. And like others have said it's bad for you. I don't know if I agree with why, imo it's mostly because of the calories. I mostly switched to Coke Zero because of that, although the fake sugars still have an insulin response which ... is bad I guess?

Oh and they're terrible for your teeth. During the beginning of the covid lockdown I needed emergency dental work 3 different times. It was insanely expensive even with dental insurance, not to mention painful. Dental issues aren't good for your health either, the bacteria can end up in your lungs, sinuses, bloodstream, affect your heart, and kill you. The -caine agent they give you to numb you is in the cocaine family, that's not great for your heart either.

someone nutting into it

My wife just told me she sometimes shares her lunch that I make with her coworkers. My first thought was "how do they know I didn't jizz in it?"

I'd try to contact them about it, but I'm way too busy right now to care about a couple two-liters of Dr. Pepper, however much it ruined my morning.

Are you diabetic? Or are you just using the insulin response to back-up your argument? Was just curious because both my biological father and step-father are diabetics (1 and 2 respectively).

I'm pretty sure drinking Dr. Pepper every day has made my teeth yellow. It's not by that much — and you probably won't be able to notice — but they aren't exactly a pearly white, even though I brush my teeth quite a lot (though maybe my tooth paste is just garbage).

My first thought was "how do they know I didn't jizz in it?"

Lmao. I don't even want to know why that was your first though.

I'm not diabetic, I've just read that artificial sweeteners cause an insulin response similar to sugar and people say that like it's a bad thing. I'm not really sure why.

Oh, yeah. My dad says it's not as bad as real sugar, but still raises your blood sugar.
