That's all allowed, just don't expect that from top streamers that are keeping it brand friendly stream to maximise profits. Twitch is big, and you probably generalizing too much. What sort of interaction are you expecting from top streamers? No way to read chat. If you want to have a "relationship", go to small streamers.

That's all allowed

Until you get banned just for supporting Trump

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 4 fun2 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 4 fun -  (33 children)

It's their chat, they can do what they want. Whats the problem here? By this point of time you must be a real idiot to support trump. Don't cry nobody wants you in their vicinity.

Those seem like ad hominem attacks without any substance. Can you explain why supporting Trump is so bad?

In a corporatist system of government, corporate censorship is state censorship. When there's no meaningful space between corporate power and government power, it doesn't make much difference whether the guy silencing your dissent is Mark Zuckerberg or William Barr. America most definitely has such a system.

And when independent candidates run for office and can't get their message out for being shadow banned, and the corporatist candidates are always the number one trending subject, you'll be there to finger wag for not bothering to set up their own world-class content distribution system first.

And gosh, when we DO set up our own systems, we get attacked because they can't allow anything outside their own control. Disconnecting the ability to take payments from Master Card, WTF? And on a higher level priority list than radical Islamic terrorists?

Another platform, Ruqqus.com, already got attacked and had its hosting revoked. They had a multi day outage while they found another one. Saidit has been threatened, too. This is far, far bigger than Trump. It's about being able to say what you want without the powerful censoring you. And you're on the side of the powerful against We The People.

    Finally someone who isn't retarded.

I'm so tired of dealing with all these lying progressives who will turn into Ron Paul the moment someone mentions the overwhelming control from corporations that is impacting political expression. These people set up laws around their protected classes yet if you even whisper something about tech corporations they'll play dumb and pretend you're some Alex Jones-level of conspiracy theorist.

Nobody needs to repeal the 1A if you uttering anything outside of the window of acceptability gets you fired and your Mastercard cancelled.

Boy, you just can't stop punching down, can you?

Punching down is a concept in which you're assumed to have a measurable level of power and you're looking for a fight. Now, you can either go after the big guy who might hurt you, or go after the little guy who has absolutely no shot. Either way, you've picked a fight, but one fight is remarkably more noble and worthwhile than the other. Going after the big guy, punching up, is an act of nobility. Going after the little guy, punching down, is an act of bullying.

Don't confuse your interests being harmed with everyone's. The working class are better off today than they were 4 years ago. Plus, you hate America, remember? The world's worst racist country. Americans are the least educated and knowledgeable of foreign affairs, languages, and disparate cultures, societies, and social norms among all Westernized countries and the least exposed universally. Why wouldn't you want it to be destroyed? After all, you're gaming out civil war scenarios right now, and California is using secessionist rhetoric that would make John C. Calhoun's heart swell with pride.

Actually deleted comment, since I don't really read anything you write and decided not to waste time on this. You seem so triggered you write essays. I dont care about it. Trump has been covered million times, he is legit moron and so are his voters. Trump represents super rich. You are not one of them, so you are indeed a moron.

      [–]Chipit 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (21 children)

You go! Attack those deplorable working class! Speak truth to the powerless!

      [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (19 children)

you are voting against interest of that working class and then pretending to be victim of assault. Oh no we are being ridiculed for being complete morons. Cry more.

      [–]Chipit 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (18 children)

How is it that you get to tell working class what their interests are? That's against the entire idea of democracy.

If you get to tell other people what their interests are, and tell them to vote your way or they're morons, why not just rule them by decree? It's the same thing, except easier and cheaper.

That's not true. You can't do what you want. It is not your website and you have to follow the twitch rules and they are very antiwhite.

      [–]antireddit 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's their chat, they can do what they want.

But thats the whole point. They cant do what they want. Big brother is always watching.

      [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes, they can do whatever they want, however, if they choose to be a publisher they cannot be afforded section 230 protections. You're entirely free to ban political speech you disagree with, however, you must be held liable for the content you allow — for that which was removed was done so without good faith.

Also, I don't support Trump. You're the idiot for assuming I do. But I can infer from your language that your words are not your own, but rather manufactured by your employer. I do not blame you for being a shill — you need to make ends meet — but I do pity you.

      [–]flugegeheimen 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

      That's all allowed

That's not true at all, Twitch has a problem (and regular scandals) with moronic censorship for a while already. Streamers condemn Twitch administration for this and demonstratively leave all the time. And it's not just US-based segment, mind you. Streamers from countries not brainwashed by political correctness even more butthurt about it for obvious reasons.

If you want to have a "relationship", go to small streamers.

This is kind of true, Twitch censorship works on reports. If a streamer has 1-2 viewers he can get away with anything for a long while.

      [–]PencilPusher55[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I probably am, but I can't tell if it's something in terms of a personality that is now more common, or if they're acting this way due to their corporate overlords. A good example - A kid was playing racing games but the one he was on was a bit arcade like. He wouldn't stop talking about how much he loved cars. I said "There are incredible simulators out there, you should expand to them". And the entire chat attacked me.

"Uh, really? Chill or you're getting banned". He went off "Bro, I am seriously ready to kick you. You come on my stream and tell me what to play?".

      LOL

Snowflakes. Melt easily when exposed to anything but a hugbox.
