I would bet money the real number is at least in the thousands, with tens of thousands more that are at least sympathetic to the idea of a white ethnostate. The USA has 330 million people, even only 1 in 100,000 being a nazi supporter gives you over 3k supporters, and that would still be an extremely fringe ideology.
