Interesting. Some kind of transparency about which rules were broken would be an improvement over this situation.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Hell yes. I just got a permaban from reddit after 2 temp bans and I didn't get a reason any 3 times. I appealed and got told it was for repeated rules violations but nobody said what. What I suspect the bans were for was suggesting a 37yr old virgin to hire a prostitute and not in a mean way in PMs, calling Sino a hate sub, and the last one was telling someone to lose weight. I think.

It's shitty when they throw you away like you're garbage and can't even be bothered to give a reason. I had a quarter mil karma too, people obviously generally liked what I wrote.

Anyways, my point is the only reason I'm on saidit is because of Reddit doing that, and so now I gotta worry about this place doing it too? That sucks.

The guy made a sub to literally promote 1940s Nazism. He was literally using banner images from 1940s German propaganda. We don't allow for the promotion of violence here, and that includes ideologies that advocate for the extermination of other races.

Seems like that should be pretty obvious, tbh. People are welcome to go to voat or poal if they think this is too limiting.

[–]antireddit 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Thank you for being honest about it. I have no particular love for Nazis, but I dont believe the cartoonish hollywood propaganda we get about them as the embodiment of evil is accurate either. Ironically I think because they are portrayed this way, there are a segment of antisocial people who are attracted to their ideology just because its so forbidden.

I get that its a lightning rod and dont blame for you taking the stance. It's definitely not a hill worth dying on, but as someone else said it can be a free speech canary in a coal mine, and it's unlikely the thought police will be satisfied with only that for very long.

[–]Leo_Littlebook 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

That's nonsense. You obviously do permit the advocacy of "violence", when it's lawful or when it's war. Nor have I seen evidence that the Nazis advocated for the extermination of other races. There is better evidence for Australians, Chinese and Americans doing that, but you don't ban their iconography. The Holocaust is an obvious hoax to anyone who investigates fairmindedly.

If you want to limit Nazi trolls, you should ban them for rules of debate violations. There are some NatSocs who would follow the rules, and they would improve the site. The majority of the Voat mouthbreathers would get caught by existing rules.

The reality is that you're a bit too scared of Jewish power, and a bit too indoctrinated with Jewish lies, to do that.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, if you get mad at Hitler in this regard, you must be even more upset with what happened with the First Nations of America. It was literal genocide for many tribes. But here we are, free to make subs about how great we think America is.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

that includes ideologies that advocate for the extermination of other races.

Where did the National Socialists actually advocate for such?

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

THEY NEVER DID.

u/magnora7 has been bought and paid for, or threatened, or something. They got to him. It's over, TRUTH IS BANNED ON SAIDIT.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You've gone too far, magnora7. You're doing the same thing as Antifa: trying to destroy history because it is inconvenient. Next we won't be able to discuss the Sandy Hook hoax because it was about killing schoolchildren.

Talking about 1940s Nazism should not be forbidden on a "free speech" site. And so what if somebody uses favorable terms? Can you debunk these views? If so, a true FREE SPEECH place will let you do that.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

I'm the OP. u/magnora7 banned me again for "ban evading". I made the second account to highlight that I'd been banned without one fucking sensible reason and u/magnora7 bans me again and deletes my post. u/magnora7 is gay.

didn't even have posts aside from posts for testing css

    When you assume, etc.

Given the OP : "didn't even have posts aside from posts for testing css", it's not clear which rule was broken, and why.

    [–]magnora7 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Promoting literal 1940s nazism = promoting violence

He made a whole sub about it. He put pictures of hitler as the banner. I'm not going to allow this place to become voat.

People are welcome to go to voat or poal if they find this unacceptable.

    [–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That was my censorship canary. Can you delete my account as well please?

/edit: Nevermind - found the deactivate button. Good luck with whatever it is you are doing. For the purposes of clarity I'd recommend adding your ideology driven censorship targets to the site rules.

    [–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

What makes you think that? I'm showcasing and reflecting nostalgically of the time my ideology was implemented in a country and helped recover that country from the Depression much faster than any country on Earth at that time.

    [–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You are absolutely right of course. That this site says "we're about free speech" but you can't post about NatSoc is utter bullshit. National Socialism, yes, literally 1930s Nazi ideology, is the best the world has ever known. No, not the "best" in terms of favoring one people over another - Because if the same ideology were used in say, Black African nations, it would also provide fantastic results. And the same for every single nation on Earth.

If you want TRUTH to be spoken on your site, u/magnora7 then the Nazi ideology has got to stay. Otherwise you are as much a sellout as Reddit. TRUTH should never be banned, anywhere. If you can't agree with that, you're not worthy of administering a discussion site.

    [–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh wow, so FUCK FREEDOM OF SPEECH WHERE IT HURTS, right u/magnora7?

You were supposed to be better than this. I am very disappointed.

    [–]filbs111 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Thanks for at least providing an answer. Many sites don't.

    [–]Airbus320 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

    Mm

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I didn't spam or advocate violence. My account didn't have anything advocating violence. My sub had only two posts with "test" in the title and body. u/magnora7 banned me for a fucking sub banner. The banner didn't even have anything violent, it featured posters from the NSDAP and photos of parades and marches and Hitler from 1933-1945 Germany. u/magnora7 commited the guilt by association fallacy by banning me.
