It's just so not fitting into this that you got the highest murder rate per capita and your only real competitor is Brazil, i believe.

Did you know there were so many native german speakers in America at one point that a vote had to be held to see what would be the national language and English only just won. You could be speaking / writing German right now if the vote had of gone the other way.

As a language lover I must debunk this urban myth. The vote was only about federal funding for official translations of government documents, the same way many jurisdictions have Spanish versions of informational pamphlets and voting ballots today.

That said, up until the First World War a large number of proud Americans went to school in German, did their shopping in German, raised their children in German, and there was a thriving German-language press. (The publisher of the first German newspaper in the New World? A certain "B. Francklin" [sic].) The most American author ever, Mark Twain, was proud of his second language and wrote a few short stories and speeches in it.

What the U.S. did to German, and ethnic Germans - its own citizens - during the virulent xenophobia of the World Wars, effectively wiping out a language in a generation, is a tragedy, one today unknown by most Americans, of German descent and not.

Yeah. Because literally every even halfway wise human in history spoke more than one language. I accepted the fact that i needed English when i was six, even though i learned Latin first in school. Then public internet was available and boom another win for me.

English is the language of the "white" web. I don't deny it.

Above that: I can read German, French and Spanish. And at this point in my life i'm even getting into Russian.

How can i look deeply enough into something when i can't even read the language of the "original" and some contradicting viewpoints on it ?

Well as far as i know it goes like this for the Danes and many other Scandinavian tribes in a nutshell:

First the robbed each other.

Then they decided this to be not cool any more and they robbed literally every other coast town in (mostly) Europe, so their known world. They took all valuables and the most beautiful women from them and sometimes even burned whole cities, just for the kicks.

Mongols did somewhat the same thing but mostly later in history. It's like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genghis_Khan copied these Norse guerilla tactics and implemented them on land with horses and bows somewhat. But in a much bigger scale.

Muslims "invented" religion as an "explanation" to conquer others. I don't get their desire to conquer deserts, but that is their cup of tea.

At least some of them interpreted the Quran in this way. And the moors just adopted this from my point of view.

But every of these cultures brought their culture and knowledge as trade off at least.

US-Americans can't bring their "culture" to others because nobody on the world these guys bomb wants it. Its even questionable if this lifestyle can be called culture.

Somehow you are looking the wrong way around at this i believe: You buy our stuff (at least professionals do), not we yours.

And since the people i'm the descendand from have over 1200 years of culture i simply don't need yours.

Danes didn't do any of those things. It is popular history. What you're talking about was invented as a story to unite Denmark into a nation state in the 1800 and has since been promoted worldwide through media and movies. It never actually happend. We mostly just traded. We are farmers and seafarers.

Those we fought with were Swedes, Germans, the British and american indians.
