    when one player is checkmated in any of the timelines and there is no valid move to correct that timeline, i think. Dont ask me about it. i am even too smoothbrained for normal chess.

    so if you play a complicated game, it might very well happen that you are checkmated and you dont immediately know where because you weren't paying attention to all the timelines and the crossing interactions between them.
