It's unknown, I don't think he got cut too deeply the cop seemed to do a good job of jamming the criminals arm.
If this was on national television the media would have shown the end of the clip where the guy was running, and the cop was chasing after him with a gun. The media would have stated that the cop unjustifiably pulled out a gun right before the video started recording, and started chasing after a poor black man who was fearing for his life who ran out of a store while he wielded a knife in self defense.
