Then stay above it. I know you're venting, but you're also falling into the same line that you're venting against here. I come from a different political point of view than you, but I do enjoy your posts. I think they are positive to this site and discussion in general.

This site draws posters because it gives them a soapbox for their opinions (and frustrations), so we tend to hear extremes as much as reason. Some, who have trouble in real life communicating with others, use this site as a way to let others "hear" them. Just remember that there are many more people who read than post or comment. They are looking for information and most are smart enough to sift through the garbage and truth twisting (or lies). Everyone also has a voice here, whether we agree or disagree, They have a voice whether or not we think it's shitty.

OP is another person who has been taught their whole life that people are not okay if they don't see the world the same way they do. So many people are brought up to WANT echo chambers. They are taught that VIEWING things differently is BAD while being taught that diversity is good. No wonder people are so confused and angry.

I hope people like OP and people who agree with OP realize they have some indoctrination, mostly from crappy school, to get rid of. I'm so bored with people who get buttmad because I say something that, while they don't agree with it, doesn't even affect their day-to-day life.
