Just went there. First, click NEW, then make your comment as usual. It works. If you look now, you'll see my comment "vv" on the post at the top of NEW. I check there every week or so and can say that outright racism and expression of hatred for ethnic groups is way down.

Just tried it again and it is in maintenance mode. I do not understand why the front page connected for me ten minutes ago. It could mean they are about to go back to normal running soon. Yes, sometimes I am in another universe but for sure I connected to the front page ten minutes ago. [Two hours after my original post: Voat is up for me right now and it is showing posts from as recently as two minutes. Also you can vote.]
