They don't take time to think, or study the inner workings of anything. They just enjoy what they get out of something. People are convinced they want things based on what others have convinced them that they want. The consume because they are taught to and if feels good to go with those impulses. This is also why a majority of people cannot accumulate wealth and have raised the average personal debt amount, generation after generation.

But like suckit said, you should find some interest groups. Meetup, nextdoor, Facebook groups, etc... will all have places with like minded people.
