You're not weird. You just haven't met your people.

If you want to meet people who share your interests you have to join a club. I have to say I have been on both sides of that conversation though. Trying to connect with someone on a deeper subject just to watch the confusion in their eyes turn into aggrieved judgement at my assumption that they were interested in such a conversation. And also having small talk on a subject I thought was interesting turn into something completely beyond my understanding. There is just so much that you can lose yourself in that the chance you would bump into someone randomly who happens to have gone down the same rabbit hole as you is infinitesimal.

Jeeps. Funny. :) I call these matchbox cars because they obviously are made for kids.

I drive my second https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lada_Niva in my freetime. The first one gave finally up on me after ten years me pushing it literally to every limit that exists.

So yes: I feel alienated from other human beings sometimes but the times when i gave a fuck about that are long gone.

It is definitely no question of intellect, i think its rather a question of your soul or psyche. As long as people pay me for my time and i can decide freely how i invest it, its all cool with me. Like now with my new enterprise.

Have you ever wondered if you had Asperger's? Otherwise, you have to consider that people, in general, are fucking retarded and just wander through life based on their impulses. They don't take time to think, or study the inner workings of anything. They just enjoy what they get out of something. People are convinced they want things based on what others have convinced them that they want. The consume because they are taught to and if feels good to go with those impulses. This is also why a majority of people cannot accumulate wealth and have raised the average personal debt amount, generation after generation.

But like suckit said, you should find some interest groups. Meetup, nextdoor, Facebook groups, etc... will all have places with like minded people.

Yup. People have this prefabricated notion of what life is about like having babies, marrying, owning a house and then slaving for a lifetime trying to accomplish/pay for all that. Our institutions, media(Hollywood) play a role in forging that mindset. I just find all of it pointless.
