I've personally stopped posting to /s/ConsumeProduct for now, as I felt it'd just divide the community between here and consumeproduct.win which I didn't really want to do. Anyone else is free to post, of course.

Also, feel free to join /s/ShillWall - while activity is currently low, you can bet it's going to take a sharp turn up during the next Reddit banwave.

Ok so dumb question, but what exactly is /s/ConsumeProduct? I can't tell if it makes fun of people's blind consumerism when companies slap their cause or fav character on something for more money, or what? Is it just anti left? Is there a similar sub with more discussion/explanation?

It started as making fun of blind product consoomers.

It evolved the definition of "product" to cover various ideologies shoved down your throat (the same way other corporate products often).
It's not anti-left, it's anti-forced-ideologies - which include extreme left ones, but not only. Here is an example of making fun of some pretty dumb MAGA trend.

I love it. SaidIt is federated now, perhaps they can cohabitate, merge, or something. /s/anticonsumerism was on my todo list but I'm glad someone else made it.

Feel free to post there on any anti-consoomerism topic.
Not every post has to be a meme, legit useful posts are more than welcome.

Thanks for the invitation.

IMO, it's an exceptionally important issue. However I don't stumble upon much anti-consumerist content to share - and/or maybe I'm not practiced and consciously looking at things in that light enough to pull it out and point it out on a regular basis.
