I wouldn't mind one bit if Disney went completely under and had to be liquidated. They are too dominant a force in the entertainment entity, essentially a monopoly. On top of that the "entertainment" they produce is really subversive propaganda. The death of that company would be a good thing for America.

Meet Marvel's First Transgender Hero: 12-Year-Old 'Mighty' Rebekah

Rebekah was only 10 years old when the Trump administration rolled back its protections for transgender students — but she, as a transgender student, felt compelled to act on behalf of herself and her community.

“I can change the world," Rebekah asserted in a new episode of Marvel's Hero Project, a Disney Plus series that profiles youth who are making a difference.

A native of New Jersey, she and her family partnered with organizations like Garden State Equality to give speeches and demonstrate that trans people are not the villains that the federal government and right-wing media make them out to be.

To enact change on a local level and change hearts and minds, Rebekah even appeared before the New Jersey legislature to lobby for Assembly Bill 1335, legislation that would mandate LGBTQ history curriculum in public schools.

“I’ve never seen myself in the history they’re teaching," Rebekah told legislators, pointing to LGBTQ figures like Harvey Milk, Marsha P. Johnson — and possibly, one day, herself — as figures that young people need to learn about.

Her voice made a difference. N.J. Gov. Phil Murphy (D) signed the bill into law in February, and LGBTQ-inclusive lessons will begin next year.

The episode of Marvel's Hero Project also shows her coming-out journey. She articulated that she was trans by age 8, when her mother outlined the LGBTQ acronym after a search for gender-nonconforming bathing suits.

Marvel movies. The girl power and diversity crap is fundamentally subversive as is the replacement of white heroes with blacks and male heroes with women.

Maleficent. The retelling of a classic with the roles of good and evil reversed. This is fundamentally subversive as it undermines objective good.

Mulan. A girl power flick with a female hero in a setting where her heroics are impossible. She kicks the butts of huge men. It's just ridiculous.

Star Wars sequals. The constant girl power propaganda and the Mary Sue character and the diversity garbage. Then there's the woke robot in Solo.

That's all I have time for right now.

Hmm, I can see this potentially being a problem. Although it also depends on what you consider to be objective good.

But overall, none of these make Disney bad. Some other examples shown to me (like the Pinocchio one) are pretty fucked up though.

Yeah there is a lot there and it connects with real world stuff. a lot of new people are not ready for a thread like that yet. Still, it's got legit info and screenshots. I'm still looking for the thread i saw yesterday. It was saved via unroll (i think) and it went through multiple disney movies and expanded on Pinocchio. Little mermaid, Lion king. Kid chasers in bednobs and broomsticks. Really detailed, it's a shame i can't find it. much less q stuff, more focus on disney. I'm not saying q stuff is bad, but it's not the question you were asking lol.

There was a TikTok exposing an old Disney (I think, but it was children’s entertainment nonetheless) movie about a little boy dating a grown ass woman, so I’m not really surprised by all of this. But I am disgusted at the fact that Disney spreads this ugliness onto the world. I guess you produce what you represent. Pedophilia is rampant.

This is just a right-wing fantasy. They always overestimate their buying power.

Each time they do their "boycott" of any brand, no matter what the reason, they take credit for any downturn for that brand. The fact is, there's downturns everywhere due to the pandemic.

It's amazing how ONE woman has cost Disney billions.

Karina Longworth worked as a teacher at a university. On her podcast, she's talked about how much she resented her students. Basically she wanted to promote Art House films, and they liked SciFi.

Later, she married a talented director named Rian Johnson. Johnson had done fantastic work before he met her, including what many regard as the best TV show ever: Breaking Bad.

After they married, Johnson's work began to ooze themes of social justice. Johnson arguably ruined Star Wars single handedly, but methinks his wife helped.

After trashing Star Wars, Longworth turned her guns on Song of the South, and produced an NPR series of podcasts about Disney's racism.

They had there biggest ever recorded revenues in 2019.

If they are in ‘financial trouble’ it’s because they chose to be, so that they can repurchase their own stock at lower prices.

This is a natural cycle. And this sources info, is from bottom tier employee about to lose his job, or a higher up sending out the signals they want to send out.

Don’t hold your breath. Disney won’t go anywhere.
