Low time preference and conscientiousness is why many blacks make terrible decisions/mistakes throughout life. It's unfortunate that they are so tied to heritability.

You can get by in life with a substandard IQ has long as you have these traits. You might not be rich, but you'll be comfortable.

I've got a relative with an IQ in the eighties who can barely read. Owns a home, never been in trouble, no out of wedlock kids. Always worked (cleaner).

I've also never known her turn up late for anything, follows societal norms to a T.

I think the good time keeping is an indicator of 'adherence to norms' that stop people going off the rails if they aren't bright enough to make non standard life choices work.

Would that correspond to conscientiousness as a personality trait or conformity?

Conscientiousness just represents the will to do a good and thorough job. So, I'd say it covers this behavior. Her following social norms to a T would be conformity.

Time preference just represents someone's will/ability to formulate and act upon plans that require a long time investment. Eg, if I save $200 a month I can get that thing I want in 3 years. That is a solid simplistic example of something a high time preference individual will do that a low time preference individual can't conceive of. Average black attributes in both of these areas are atrocious / to the extent that many African languages have only vague concepts of time and lack words representing abstracts like contracts or promises.
