The lengths people go to to portray themselves as someone they are not is insane on that platform. I don't get it, I just follow my friends and they follow me, I don't have to do stupid crap to try and impress them because we're already tight. I take my camera on outings and if I happen to get some naturally good photos then cool, and if not it was still fun!

Some people are desperate for fame and relevancy, sadly desperate people do desperate things

The creepy thing to me is the thousands and thousands of selfies posted. Like ok...take 1 every so often, but it just starts to get odd.

I go on celebrity pages and they have nothing but pictures of themselves. They cannot even post a scenic shot on vacation or something?

Yes! There's a girl I know who is, well - quite objectively beautiful. But you get desensitized to it. You almost start to feel like the attraction begins to wane because of the oddity that is constantly posting photos of yourself. A little mystery in someone goes a long way, and seems to do a great deal in terms of attracting others.
