Also, one of the few video games that has a predominantly-female userbase is Animal Crossing. It seems as if >80% of players are female which is frankly breathtaking in the sea of demographics. It's one of the few gaming communities where we really have control (not that control is important, but considering males dominate most of the culture of other games, yeah, you get what I'm saying). Not affiliated with the sub but hope to see it grow:
