Yes ban all porn, it is obscenity and has no place in a healthy society. And no it's nothing to do with speech codes assuming that is referring to free speech laws, in the period where America had free speech there were obscenity laws. Now you have no free speech and obscenity is everywhere. If they're related at all (they're not) real world experience would tell us they're inversely related.

You could literally say the same thing about hate speech laws. “Obscene” is in the eye of the beholder.

To many, racism is obscene. To others porn is.

Personally, I think seeing a qt get cream pied after squirting an obscene amount of vaginal fluid and watching the guy who creamed her do goose steps and sieg hiels in the nude to commemorate the event afterwards to be one of the most beautiful and pure things in known universe.

However you have some point with "Obscene images and political speech clearly aren't anything like each other". Yes, idea about what is and isn't obscenity is even more flimsy ephemeral bullshit than political\hate speech, so his argument about free speech (the one you frantically dismissed in the first sentence) is even more applicable to obscenity.
