The Institutions we have are broken. Everything from Harvard to the WHO to the New York Times has been co-opted. The question is: What new Institutions are we building in their place?

It's hard to build new institutions when the ones that exist actively fight to destroy any new ones being created. Take Visa, Mastercard, Google and Godaddy as examples of shutting down any site they don't like and preventing alternative institutions from growing.

That's a hurdle, but not an insurmountable one.

Maybe we should be working to build a culture before creating institutions though.
