How divisive have we become. Have you lost friends over your viewpoints?

I have lost friends on the left and right, but more the left.

I had (and still have) some buddies that hang with Antifa, but about half of those people won’t talk to me. Some of them would, but fear being ostracized by their friends.

On the right, it only happened once. I admitted that I would prefer that the USA fall and Balkanize into smaller regions than remain as is ... to a Marine. I don’t even blame him for that reaction. It was emotional, but I essentially insulted his life’s work. I don’t regret saying it, but I should have been more delicate. I should give that guy a call.
