Apparently they weren't exactly teaching it as an orientation, but it was extremely inappropriate for school. The bullet point was:

A lot of what Snopes claims to debunk relies on pedantics and or semantics. Problem is your average brain dead moron will look, see a big red X and take it as gospel. As you say, if you just read a little further into things, most of the time you'll find that their justification is a very thin veil of an opinion written as fact.       Well, not only was he not locked up, his research was celebrated in the mainstream media and revered as the de facto standard model for studying human sexuality. When some of the kids involved in the research grew up and started talking about how their molestation ended up in these research studies, people had to seriously reevaluate whether Kinsey's work was as noble as everyone made it out to be.       One of the original reasons I came to SaidIt was that I was heavily censored by the far left for saying that child pornography should not be banned (I had this view, at the age of 16, because I believe in freedom of speech, expression, and information, and didn't understand that there was such intense opposition to anything related to pedophiles or why anyone would have it, for reasons I still do not understand because people either didn't let me debate about it, or debated the wrong issue in a strawman argument). I have never seen anyone in the mainstream LGBTQ community (the part that likes to censor people) voice anything but heavy opposition to pedophilia. I know that subreddit had some issues with straight anti-semitism (loooota "nose" jokes for example), but admins should give a chance to clean up instead of insta-ban.
