15 years ago, if a picture of you came out like this you would be fired from your job and publicly shamed and humiliated.

Now a photo of you like this gives you some superpowers to harass and bully any decent self respecting people. And its all promoted by society!

This is what demon possession actually looks like. They do not care about the human vessel they possess at all, they are just using the human to push a sick demonic agenda to corrupt others.

I agree with your position a little. There are definitely some transgender people that fit into the stereotype that was mentioned above, but there is no empirical evidence supporting that most transgender people fit into the stereotype, and it seems impossible to conduct an experiment on this sort of thing while accounting for all the variables and constants.

The definition of self-respect just means you generally like yourself, mostly regardless of your actions. Decency is also not objectively good, as it was considered decent to not be homosexual in the 1900s.

"demon possession" and "sick demonic agenda" are vague terms. The basic definition of demon is "evil spirit". Spirits do not exist in the real world, and evil is subjective.

as it was considered decent to not be homosexual in the 1900s.

As it still should be. Homosexuals are to be pitied (as failed biological organisms), but not persecuted. The fact that you're defective is nothing to be proud of. The goal of biological organisms is to survive and reproduce, not spread hedonism and moral decay.

[–]OffAndSphere 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

The sun was also thought to have revolved around Earth in the past.

Life can find clever ways to survive, such as how people with one sickle cell gene have extra resistance to malaria. Homosexuality is also found in other animal species. It appears to mainly to exist to carry genes beneficial in one sex and arouse organisms to mate more. There's also homosexuals adopting offspring who lost their parents, but I couldn't find any sources for this.

If hedonism is bad, then that means riding roller coasters and drinking alcohol are on the chopping block, as well as anything remotely risky that is done mainly for pleasure. "moral decay" is subjective, as morality is in general.

If you base your morality on Biology itself, you don't need to settle for post-modern shades of gray. Things that help people survive and produce better offspring are objectively good and should be promoted by society, things that do the opposite are objectively bad, most things are neutral. Things that only harm the individual engaging in them are neutral and should not be the topic of law, let natural selection work. Things that harm society at large should be forbidden.

settle for post-modern shades of gray

What do you mean by this?

Things that harm society at large should be forbidden.

I do not see how homosexuality would be bad. The underpopulation problem is virtually—no, I'm confident enough that it is entirely nonexistent. I'm not sure if anything else would be a problem. The transgender shenanigans reveal two solutions: change the body to fit the mind, or change the mind to fit the body. Society is currently going down the latter of the two paths which I have no arguments on whether that is good or bad currently.

Heterosexuality is no more normal than obesity.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Uh-huh.

  • Gay men, who are 1.65% of the US population, account for 63% of the country’s syphilis cases, and are more than 200X as likely as heterosexuals to have HIV. And, oh yeah. Lesbians are 2.5X more likely than heterosexuals to be Obese: https://archive.fo/6Ro60
  • 99.8% of lesbian, gay and bisexual teens will change their sexual orientation within 13 years: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26048483/

[–]OffAndSphere 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Taki’s Magazine is quite biased towards the right and has a mixed record with fact checkers. Your other source is locked behind a subscription fee. Even so, "99.8% of lesbian, gay and bisexual teens will change their sexual orientation within 13 years" is very good evidence against the LGBT community, but the cause of the change could be due to being afraid of getting beat up for it or lots of other factors, because correlation almost never equals causation unless proven otherwise with causal networks.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Heh... Fact checkers all have extreme bias and no credibility. That article linked to all primary sources; which were by and large peer reviewed journals and government (CDC) published statistics.

This recent shenanigan comes to mind. https://files.catbox.moe/nnvjz0.jpg

[–]OffAndSphere 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Well, assuming that those facts are true, anal sex would obviously cause health problems. I have no idea why lesbains would have an obesity issue, though.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I would speculate it's due to their ridiculously high (comparative to the normal population) rates of mental illness. People with a poor self image tend to have eating disorders, and the statistics bear that out as well.

[–]OffAndSphere 11 insightful - 3 fun11 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 3 fun -  (9 children)

uh, isn't this basically name calling and/or ad hominem

[–]zeusdx1118 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Wow. I've never seen it argued that way. Your right though. There's a good point there.

[–]lyth 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

Would you date him, though?

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

I do agree saying you won't date someone is not an insult. I guess this guy is basically an incel if he wants to date women but the lesbian type of women, who of course want to date women. The thing is he'd be able to get girls if he wasn't mentally ill, he's a tall good looking guy. If someone self sabotages I have less sympathy, for a real incel who is short and ugly and will never get a girl to go out with him, that is pure hell. Yet they're the ones everyone agrees it is ok to hate and insult.

[–]OffAndSphere 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

The problem I have with this meme is that it's basically a code-word for everyone to laugh at transgender people for not looking like the sex/gender they're trying to transition to. I agree with the whole "'i wouldn't date you' is not an insult" thing, though.

[–][deleted] 9 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

there's really no way this guy would ever look like a girl. I guess it is bullying to point that out but still it's a fact. I guess it is unecessary. But besides this meme, we could have a legit discussion about this topic, then the meme leads to something good at least.

[–]OffAndSphere 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Well, if we're going to have a discussion, I'd like to diss this meme for being a thinly veiled insult voice my opinion in detail on why I think this meme is bad. With that being said, I am much more stringent on what is considered a decent meme than most people. Also, this is not what I think makes a meme go viral; it's what I think makes a meme decent.

Text should be kept to a minimum—or at least be concise—which this meme succeeds at. However, it fails at being relatable, mainly because transgender people could look pretty close the sex/gender they're transitioning to, or it could be the complete opposite. Insults can be useful in comedy, but they need to be accompanied by something else. This meme is essentially just an insult but in image form. At least we're getting some good discussion out of this.

Characteristics pertaining to sex have different levels of correlation. For example, women living longer and being weaker and shorter than men is less correlated to sex than pregnancy is. The differences in how the sexes feel emotion are even less correlated to sex than lifespan is.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yes it is a bad meme, lol in some communities there are official meme raters, I am not qualified to rate a transexual meme but this is lazy, just a pic of a guy, would be better if it had the wording right in the pic, and if it was a pop culture referene instead of a random guy, like who is a famous transexual, maybe Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie? Not sure.

Besides the meme though, why is it some want to change their sex, do you deny it is a mental illness, like Quixote and his delusions, do we really have to cater to it instead of trying to cure it?

[–]OffAndSphere 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Technically, altering the body is a "solution". Kind of like how some "solutions" for horrible diseases only increase the person's lifespan by a couple of years. Therapy is another solution, but most pre-operation transgender people are too reluctant to try it because not many people have gone down that route. I'm sure there are a pile of scientists trying to find more "solutions" to gender dysphoria, but it's a mental illness, and those are impossible to cure. This is because it can come back after a while after the person has seemingly recovered from it.

We do already take some special procedures in public for existing mental illnesses like schizophrenia, so I think using preferred pronouns are quite mild compared to needing to convince someone that Dr. Zomboss isn't going to attack Earth the next month.

[–]OffAndSphere 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Just because I wouldn't date them does not give everyone the right to insult them, even by implying so. Think of that kid that was absolutely, 100%-without-a-doubt ugly back in elementary school. Did everyone call them ugly? No. Did some people laugh at them when they tried to ask someone out in senior high school? Probably, but the staff would take action if it got out of hand.

Funny and all but most people claiming it's transphobic for lesbians to not date trans women are talking about trans women who fully transitioned and have a vagina and are basically indistinguishable for normal women (with the exception of, perhaps, the voice in some cases). Not that I agree with them, but I think it's good to keep in mind. Only lunatics think lesbians or straight men should have sex with people like the one in the pic.

[–]mip 16 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Even the highest-end neovagina jobs to date only come remotely close to a natural vagina. Also, the characteristic male bone structure is only punctually alterable through surgery. 'Basically indistinguishable' is a faaaar reach. Let's not even talk about uteruses and such.

[–]Girlwiththeraventat 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Thank you. The surgery is body mutilation where the "patient" has a lifetime of upkeep. Plus they may now have decreased feeling in their genitals making orgasm hard to impossible. The "neovagina" does not work like a vagina at all.

[–][deleted] 13 insightful - 3 fun13 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

a guy can't be indistinguishable from a normal woman

[–]Hard_headed_woman 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Not true. It's called a ladydick. Or girldick, and since it is attached to a woman (transwomen are women), it's a female sex organ.

Plenty of trans rights' activists telling women to "suck my ladydick."

Check out the "cotton ceiling."

It's disgusting.

"all but most people claiming it's transphobic for lesbians to not date trans women are talking about trans women who fully transitioned and have a vagina and are basically indistinguishable for normal women" does not have anything backing up it's claim other than anecdotal evidence. Even so, some people still don't want to date transgender people because dating is just a way of finding someone to have sex with in most cases, and you're allowed to pick who you want to have sex with. All of this is no excuse to insult transgender people, though.

[–]Lastrevio 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

does not have anything backing up it's claim other than anecdotal evidence.

I hope it's true... it's one thing to force people into having sex with transitioned trans people and another thing to force them into having sex with crossdressers basically...

[–]Tums_is_Smut_bkwrds 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Once in my early 20s I got my sister to give me a perm on a lark. I knew it would grow out in a few months so no big deal.

After she took the curlers out I put on a sundress very much like the one in this picture, stuffed two large oranges down the front, put on a pair of those large sunglasses that moviestars wear, and then went driving around the city with my GF and sister. I acted all flamboyant and over the top while sitting in traffic and we all laughed ourselves silly.

It was just a bit of good clean fun. There was no 'deeper meaning'. No slight intended or taken. I wasn't secretly gay, but even if I was no one cared. I could have put on blackface and it would have been the same deal ie. no big deal.

Today I have to police my words in case someone takes offense and I end up being fired and charge with a hate crime.
