The problem is that every site that tries to be completely pro free speech ends up attracting scum that got banned everywhere else and then it turns into a neo-nazi site as all the normal people leave.

There shouldn't be censorship but there should be moderation. But that's a tricky line to toe.

I think the difference here is that most GC posters are pretty left wing. It should stop the worst of it.

I think this diversity is one of the most important things here. Voat became what it is because there was nobody to push against the far-right aspects. Lets hope that its enough to make this a balanced place.

You have to keep in mind that there are groups that don't want any free speech sites to exist and they use racism as a tactic to attack them. The same people who are DDoSing will come one here and post vile shit just to drive off as many people as they can.

Moderation isn't going to be enough against these people because they will always find ways around it and at the same time claim it is censorship.

People have to grow a skin. Not because "its thier fault they got offended" but because the world is offensive. The only sustainable way to fight offensive content is with good content.

You put the asterisks by censorship because that's exactly what you want. Let those with different opinions than yours have their own subs with their own moderation and counter them with subs of your own.
