How long do you think it will take for them to send the Hawaiian style, "North Korean nukes are inbound! Certain death imminent!" Message.

Or a"Meet at place X for the Q revolution!".

Probably sooner than later...

Yeah I'm guessing there will be another test or two to work out all the kinks. Then something big maybe. Or not. Who knows.

Either way it feels like a yank of the leash.

not everyone, lol. i didnt get the alert, o well. i knew it was coming, so i was standing by to launch an emergency net on cb channel 9 incase they used the event for a false flag.

Little late to the party, but I wanted to add my experience. I received the alert on my current android phone as expected, but it also came through on an old iphone 4 that was not connected to wifi, had no simcard, no icloud, and no service. Interesting?

whoa an alert without a sim card, very interesting.

Wow that is weird. It must've had emergency services connections or something. Thanks for sharing, that adds an interesting piece to the puzzle.

Yeah this is all OS level special alerting. For me, the Amber Alerts set off a siren at full volume so it's very disturbing and intrusive. I guess I can turn all of this off though? Here's my android settings: https://i.imgur.com/pLUoIUQ.png

I looked before it happened and I couldn't find a way. Also doesn't give you the block or reject option. Had my droid phone on mute, and it still sounded like a prison break.

I was actively using my phone taking pictures at the ti me, and it just vibrated and showed the alert in the center of the screen thankfully

I have all the amber alerts and weather alerts turned off through the OS, and I still got this message.

I forgot this was gonna happen lol. The internet went down at my office today and the phones were behaving weird a little later. Then, a little later still, the alert on my phone was loud like a flood or amber alert, despite being on vibrate, but my coworker who was by me has an iPhone and her alert was silent. A couple minutes/maybe just one min. later a TV had the alert too. Lol the end.
