There is plenty of food for everyone. With modern aeroponics everyone can grow their own food within the footprint of their roof. It would just cost more than store bought once you factor in the time you spend on it. We literally pay farmers not to farm because all the food would flood the markets and destroy prices. We are all too fucking fat.

I haven't eaten fish is years. New studies show that when trowling boats come by most fish hear them miles away and swim down, way below the level of the nets. The over fishing doomesday predicitons have been proven false, just like the millions of doomesday predictions made before it. Fish lay thousands of eggs at a time, that means that farming fish is trivial. The reason is isn't done is because of how plentiful fish are in the ocean. It is far cheaper to go out with a boat and bring in thousands of pounds of fish than to corral them for years. That will not be the case if we ever get to the point where we have over fished.

population control is not about our ability to feed ourselves.

If you cleaned that river up it would have fish again within a few years. And I'm glad that you will be informing everyone you know that fish are not a required part of your diet, so they can stop hyperventilating about starvation because they saw a video from the other side of the planet about a particularly badly polluted river.

You have no idea what you are talking about. No wonder it is so easy to manipulate you with fear. If you pull the crap out, and prevent new crap from filling it up the rain will displace the dirty water with fresh water. The dirty water will flow out to the ocean.

Wildlife from the surrounding area will find it's way back. Life finds a way.
