Hot take: Saidit should focus on information rather than entertainment, and quality over quantity

Why compete?

A couple of reasons:

  • If you believe Reddit is bad and Saidit is better, it makes sense that you would want Saidit to become more popular than Reddit. I don't want most people using a site with wrong information or low-quality content, and I would prefer the site with better content and better admins to have as much activity as possible.

  • Even if you don't care how many people use the site, it's obviously preferable for Saidit to stay competitive in terms of quality content. Nobody should want Saidit to backslide and become just like Reddit in terms of content.
