actual sources of what people post
After trying to explain how crystal waved over a leaf can't cure anything... Yes. Very few people read sources. Even fewer people care.
There's some people you can't argue with. If one sides refuses to acknowledge that 1+2=3 the conversation is done.
Some people see the sources and choose to ignore them.

Some sources aren't that good, they're just another guy writing on the internet.
The inernet makes people a bit crazy, before, face to face, you could also try things, now everyone is writing in relation to what some other guy wrote about what some other guy wrote.

People were also less likely to say stupid stuff face to face for fear of being laughed at.
Reading: "Hahaha oh. You're serious?" Isn't the same as having it said to your face.
Hopefully things come full circle and vr gets similar upgrades like Ready Player One
