Its skills. Skills is used in the plural form all the time. One of the merriam-webster example sentences is "He has excellent social skills", which is used the same way that "English skills" is used here.

    that would make sense if you had only one writing skill, but there are many rules and syntaxes and such within the english language.

      It is spelled grammar.

      This sub is called teach you english. There is more to english than just grammar. You must also master phonology, vocabulary, there are different dialects to understand. All BS aside I don't mind helping and you could help teach us chinese or whatever language it is you usually use.
