The red-pill in the matrix does not give one the truth, it simply disrupts the user's input/output-carrier-wave. This triggers the 'battery-pod' to think that your body in the real world has died and needs to be flushed. The crew still needs to 'take' your mind out of the matrix and later fish you out of the sewer and all.

Hmm, but you can see people thinking they are right? The lower tiers (upper on the image) are usually used to describe opponents and the 'cool' sounding ones to describe yourself. The black-pill in this image is an exaggeration of the MGTOW meme, the lone wolf carving it's own path for example.
