In Venezuela, Mayerlin Villasmil Arroyo was a preschool teacher. After eight months, she arrived in Chicago with her husband where they have been temporarily sheltering at the 22nd district station for the last 13 days.
But why did she and her husband leave their country? It's strange that the article did not address why people are going through the trouble of making a dangerous journey just to end up in Chicago.... a dangerous city!
