I don't know if I've ever seen a more profound and frighteningly prescient episode of television than "The Obsolete Man" in all my life. Serling was brilliant in his depictions of the great flaws we struggle with in our society. He argued in his own way against war, authoritarianism, and racial bigotry as passionately as any civil rights figure. He would therefore by the standards of today's Democrats be called an alt-right, nazi, white supremacist. Heavens above, how our society has fallen.
