Funny fact: You can cut trees with a laser, but it's slow as fuck. No idea why anyone would do it outside of edge cases though where traditional methods wouldn't be viable.

Funner fact wood cutting is only done at close range using thin, dry wood.

Even more funnerer fact: if you had a magic lazer that could cut a tree from the ground like that the cut would be on a diagonal and not staight across the log like is shown here.

Yes, it's obviously faked in the video. And it's just .. stupid why anyone would fake it as it's a real thing, but stupidly impractical.

It is not a real thing. No one can cut down a tree from 30 feet away with a lazer.

It would also be very expensive, in part, because of the power required.
