Looks like a botched demolition to blame on the tremors.

The blast of white smoke (sqibs) from the ground floor of the building. Then the remaining floors dropped as one unit, and tipped.

The ground level has the most structure, and it's anchored to the ground. The entire building would tip over. The bottom floor wouldn't instantly crush.

The instantaneous cloud of white smoke (squib) tells you it's a demo job.

It looks like more than just a botched demolition. It looks like a reckless demo with civilians and power lines on nearby. Maybe Jewish lightning struck it for the insurance.

In my Bittersweet Seeds screenplay, I have a side back story for my main character, half Palestinian and half Syrian, and his family fled to Turkey, an ally - then his father was killed in an earthquake before they migrated to Canada.

Why? There's a famous fault line with a progressive series of earthquakes over the decades and centuries that is destined to fucking rock, maybe even destroy, Istanbul between now and 2045 - if I recall correctly (haven't looked at my work in years).

How do you know it is smoke and not dust? Did you take samples?
