But if you're Catholic, one confession is all you need to be saved once again, right? I'm not Catholic so I may have misunderstood. Does Catholicism even contain the concept of being saved?

Catholocism (in spite of what Catholics tell you) is always changing. There was a time where they taught that you had to be baptized within the Catholic church to be saved. But in 2022 with Pope Francis, the message has been that muslims worship the same God and such, so you don't need to be catholic to be saved.
