Kind of fun to watch, learning a lot about airplane engines and engine repair.

Fun watch. But have to agree with the AP guy in the comments talking about $120K to get the engines rebuilt alone. Might need to be entirely rewired. The airframe itself needs to be verified. The avionics need to be replaced. Some experienced professionals would have to sign off on their speciality as being airworthy and meeting FAA regs. That means them doing the actual work rather than trusting some dude, and thousands of hundred dollar bills.

Cool guy though. I'll bet he can get most anything running again.

I only had to watch three minutes and there is no way I would let that plane leave the ground. All the systems would have to be rebuilt, replaced, and certified and that will cost way more than it's worth. The owner was probably glad that someone was willing to take it so he could get a tax write-off. He should have donated it to a school years ago.

Yeah I have to agree. It was interesting the owner was only willing to give it away for free if the guy can get the engines running, which I thought was an interesting stipulation.
