Why didn't you just go to Fairmount?

Don't forget the drive up the Ocoee River Gorge, leaf peeping, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sometimes close isn't best.

Fair enough, you've sold me. I went to the website and it's a nice looking little orchard, plus I recall Fairmount requiring going through W road-- and fuck that 1000 times. Did y'all do the boxed lunches there?

We took Subways and Chips. We also take Subways and Chips on the TVRRM trains. We have a TVRRM membership. It costs a tad more than a regular family fare for just one local trip. It's a real deal. For about $10.00 extra you get a year membership. Free rides. We time it so we eat lunch on a train once a month.

I've been dying to do the train trip meals for a while now, so I'll have to look into that. I didn't know they let you bring your own meals on. Have you guys tried the dinners on there?

We have done Dinner on the Diner multiple times and always on the Pullman. It costs more but you get a booth. I take Subway Sandwiches or Fried Chicken on the regular trains all the time. I sit there and let the smell permeate the area as I eat it. I have even done cab rides where I ate a big smelly sandwich in the cab of the engine as we went down the tracks. When you do a cab ride you don't touch the emergency brake. They point it out.
