Texas has had 4,140,000 cases of COVID-19 resulting in 68,075 deaths.

So far.

For comparison 2,996 people died in the September 11 attacks of 2001, which resulted in significant losses of freedom, a lot more substantial than putting on a mask when you go out.

(You still have to put on pants when you go out. No one seems to be complaining about that).

But per capita, Texas is among the lowest deaths for covid lately. You have to compare it per capita.
