I worked IT for 20 years and well aware of cubical rats, imagine getting a call where Mr. X saying I see nothing on my monitor.

Me. Do you see lights on the computer.

Mr. X Yes.

Me. Do you see a light on the monitor.

Mr. X. Yes.

So I walk up five flights of stairs walk over to Mr. X and have to ask him let me sit, I look at the PC and it's on but when I look at the monitor it's not on so I push the botton and wow it works. 20 years dealing with twits and I can count on one hand when someone said thanks, by the way we ( five techs) was always on call and had to help the cubical rats even if it was our lunch time/rest break. In 2008 I filed a lawsuit and ended up winning $50 k

That ended on a good note though.

I just quit that job after 2 years. I just couldn't take it anymore. I started to hate people.

Funny you said that, other than having lunch with the wife, market and getting gas I avoid public places. I also keep to myself and been called unsociable by many. Being a kiss ass 40 + hours a week really does a number on the mind.

It does. Honestly I think everyone should do a job like that for a year to understand what its actually like and then gtfo before you lose your sanity.

It was too exhausting.
