Does anyone remember Spamku or Spam Haiku. Here are 19,000 of them on a vintage website.

Or, if you can, book a ticket to Honolulu, the Spam capital of the world.

That site has quantity but there is much better quality out there. I first heard of spamku in the nineties I think.

My friends started this one in Toronto: https://BadHaiku.com - and have a company called Bad Math. Growing up she was best friends with Karla Homolka. I held photos of their childhood birthday parties and heard about the letters she wrote from prison. Weird stuff. Janice was also a great hockey goalie and fought to play in the boys league, other big news that grabbed the nation way back when. Life can be stranger than fiction.

Just read the entire Wiki entry for Karla and it is a very bizarre tale. I wonder what she and Bernardo (?) did on their first few dates and how they found out about their mutual interests. I learned that some of her letters were pulled from e-bay but not until the bidding was up to $1600. Truth is stranger than fiction because fiction has to make sense. They say.

Saidit sure has changed since the old days, huh?

Didn't know about any eBay letters but I'm pretty confident those letters were not the ones sent to Janice. She's not that type.

Brilliant!

SaidIt's changed how? (Besides COVID etc.) It's like stream, ebbing and flowing, ever shifting. Maybe I'm not so deep as I've been before. I have no interest in delving deep here. We're building the next step. Then after that I can do my projects.

Oh, I didn't come up with that but thanks anyway. You don't see a big change? Well, maybe it was me who changed.

I see changes, but I see them often. My enthusiasm also changes. I still have terrible issues with M7 but won't dwell on them any more. Among the ebbs, flows, and surges I see phases, trends, and communities. Many are like moods I just don't have names for, but some have clear titles: Opie & Anthony, The Donald, IP2, LXXX, Feminists With Colourful Pills, Trans Inflation Invasion, Gender Wars, Fueling Racism Fires, COVID Curiosity, Laughable Lockdown, Hypocrisy & Hysteria, Riot Gore, Drama3D, and Justifiable Zionist Infiltration Paranoia - among others.

But what changes are you seeing?

Not only is it good to find the language to be able to discuss it, it's also important to identify issues, especially if we're going to (eventually) have a self-regulating community. We'll need to deal with problems past, present, and more. If by "change" you mean any problems.

Some of those are really funny. Spamku were invented way back when I spent a lot of time in Hawaii, on the Big Island. The locals love spam.
