Important thing to note is that women inherently have their value in the dating market from 18-35. Men have to work for their value, and if they don't put the work in then the rest of what's going on in the dating market is irrelevant -- you're just a 40 year old loser instead of a 25 year old loser. (Incidentally, women can also work to be worth more after 35, but it takes an exceptional woman to defy fate and do so)

The powers that be will want good men to refuse the call to improve themselves. They push the narrative that self-improvement is evil. They want men to believe their value is inherent and can't change. Believing this and acting upon it is going to harm both men and women.
