This video just went viral on the internet a few hours ago and everyone is praising the driver for his "amazing driving skills" and "awesome save". Lol, it was a save, but the driving skills and awesomeness can be disputed!

I honestly don't know much about cars, I know about this because I've seen that physics demonstration with the model car I linked, so I know whenever you're hitching/towing something, the weight needs to be evenly distributed. The bulk needs to be as close to the back of your car/truck as possible.. If all the weight is at the end of the tow and there's a lot of weight, you lose control.

Edit: Also, this is a good reminder to keep an eye on others on the road, especially the highway. There are many who are ignorant to this. If you see a vehicle with a hitch/trailer, towing something extremely heavy towards the back, stay away from it. All it takes is a bump in the road or a small turn/curve to send the hitch swinging, wiping out any near-by cars. Either pull back or drive ahead of it when safe (like 2 cars did in this video, otherwise they would have been hit hard).

It is scary to think about because the excess weight would have to be locked in securely as well since acceleration tends to push that bulk further away from your truck/car. Even with good security, there is still slight jarring due to the increased weight.

Really cool physics oriented stuff! Gravity is such an obstacble and driving is so exciting!

Someday I hope, something can understand the kinetics in physics better through increasing simulations so we can unlock more potential in our designs and technology to solve basic logistical issues. As it stands, our cars aren't built perfect for physics oriented maneuvers; hence all the poor performance statistics- after "incidents".
