Can we get numbers next to the insight and fun buttons?? It enrages me I can't track the weight of the comment/thread by numbers. Also do the number add up to float the thread to the top or do they work separately? So will a thread with 25 fun and 25 insight be lower down the ranks then a thread with 26 insight 24 fun?

I really can't decide if I want to invest time in modding a sub on this site. It's so close to being a functional social media site but there are some issues.

Also when will you get image and mp4 hosting?

Insightful votes are worth +2 while fun votes are worth +1. Add them all up and you get the 'points' which determines the ranking.

What are the issues?

By image and mp4 hosting do you mean build a separate hosting service & website just for that, or do you simply mean every image and video posted to the site as a link post is stored locally?

You can talk to /u/JasonCarswell, he designed the CSS for that sub so you can take inspiration from his design.

Having a native upload function would be interesting, but would also demand a much beefier and more expensive server. We'll explore it as an option and think about it. Thanks for the idea.

Whenever I use streamable or giphy they end up killing my account for political reasons and then all of my links are broken. Youtube is the same. In the meantime I'm going to use bitchute links I guess.

That's my latest version. I'm almost done with it. I tweak it every now and then. I'm very close. I need to focus on it another half day and call it quits. Then I'll develop another one based on it - later.

It took a while to get where it is. I mapped out most of the options and variables, or at least pointed to how it all works more or less. There were only a few limitations I couldn't hack through, even with d3rr's help.

You won't need most of those old images. Instead, I think these images are the basics necessary: /s/SaidItSurveys/about/stylesheet/ though the header banner name will need swapping out.

If you don't want to do any of it you could make me mod and I could do it for you. I could do some custom tweaking on it within reason. Even make a banner for you (https://infogalactic.com/info/SaidIt_gallery#SaidIt_banners_gallery). And then un-mod myself.

Does peertube allow direct download that's not a magnet link? When I'm using bitchute I can ctrl u ctrl f and search 'mp4' and get a direct download link. I'm not seeing that with peertube.

Sure you can come help me mod if you'd like. I know nothing about CSS. I played around last night as was able to change the upvotes. What are your politics?

My goal with altrightwebm is the same before it got banned from reddit. Lots of short sharable clips in a format that's easy to download for backup. A little like an endless pol webm thread except with flairs for topics.

One of the worst things about BitChute is it doesn't have a download button. PeerTube has one.

My politics? I'm an atheist, left-leaning voluntarist (anarcho-Marxist) truther who can appreciate a lot of the alt-right and conservative ideas even if I don't buy them. I'm about open science, open source and cooperatives, alternative solutions, alternative histories, and alternatives to authority above all, including anti-corruption, anti-propaganda, anti-exploitation and Natural Law.

If you look through my posts you'll find I post a lot of stuff that reflects this. I certainly don't buy half of it, but it is good to know. For example a religious person can go on about the gays destroying our culture. I have no problem with the gays nor with people who believe nonsense. But I can learn from the way they think and appreciate their views, and recognize there are legitimate levels to the way our culture is being engineered, not to mention divided and manipulated and intentionally misinformed and confused.

I'm not a Redditor so I don't know what it was. Sounds like a video clip memes.

That was a big part of my sub. I had a LOT of flair and it made it quite easy to drop in and search for 'folk music' or 'cultural marxism' or 'history' or 'anti zionism' etc etc. It was really picking up steam before the ban. I also try to include a lot of political videos. It's not all memes. I kept spergy comments out of the mix as well. It was moderated similar to r/debatealtright.

I think your politics could be compatible and I'm not a big evagelizer so I'm won't try to convert you into more alt right politics. I also post a lot of basic media corruption exposure stuff and political/history education that's not necessarily alt right so I think you'd enjoy the sub.

Off hand I don't know any others who call themselves alt-right or conservative AND are respectable. I haven't sought out alt-right content, or progressives for that matter, but if there's value, like those above, I'll follow.
