I would put Dark Knight higher on this list, probably because you don't even need to be a fan of the genre to appreciate the brilliance of this movie. As you mentioned, Heath Ledger's performance here is truly something to behold.

I didn't put it higher because the other characters weren't on the same level. Bale was the best when he had the seat, but I'm rather partial to Affleck. He's at least as good of a Batman, and a much better Bruce Wayne.

For as much as I like Affleck and Cavill, BvS sat lower for not really developing the villains at all.
