I remember downloading naked photos of Cindy Crawford in 1996 on dial up. Every photo took soooo long to come through.

Ooh, CDs, look at this fancy schmancy fucker here! Those optical disks are surely just a fad. Durable data storage is what people really want. Like the ZIP drive!

I had a Jaz drive at one point, the 1GB zip drive that never caught on

lol. My ex gf wanted to get a bunch of stuff off her old laptop but was concerned that it might be too much memory. I handed her a Zip drive that was 3 times larger than her laptop’s capacity.

But yes, CD’s do have nice staying power — if you can find something to play them...
