I think this is interesting, but beyond that, I'm not sure. Another 'power industry game changer', the Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters have been code implemented, and required since 02' in varying fashion. The technology sucks!

Year after year, electricians complain, the manufacturers have 'trouble shooting' hotlines set up for these suckers; as now they're required almost everywhere in a residential home, and a couple other niche areas. A high powered police radio will cause them to trip, a vacuum cleaner will cause them to trip, they nuisance trip a lot.

Many people have made compelling arguments, that the only part of them that actually work, is the ground fault interrupter that's part of the assembly, and that the 'arc' fault arresting ability simply doesn't work.

I don't know, but I know it's caused a lot of headaches for smaller companies that are forced by code to install them, but are then forced by warranty to service the crap.
