TIL of the Invention Secrecy Act. The government has a program in place which specifically deals with inventions that are deemed to be "threats to national security" (open thread for choice quotes). There are currently 6102 inventions under lock and key, some of which "pertain to energy generation".

Even the fact that we know that the CIA tortures proves my point. We will not know everything, but there is almost always a glimpse of the truth

They release that information on purpose. And that's not the half of it.

Torture is a form of terror. Torturing Manning and Assange is a warning to whistleblowers and journalists.

Sure we know some of what happened in Abu Ghraib prison, and less of GitMo. But what about the unknowable countless black sites and ocean prisons?

Faith in the government is stupid.
