A great thing about the terminal is that you can tell someone precisely what to do (which is generally just a set of commands to execute). GUIs are meant for interactive exploration of the options, so are poor when it comes to scripted actions. "Click the little arrow thing, scroll down, right-click..." Ahhhh!
