I use Adblock plus and I haven't seen a youtube ad in years. If they make this update I'd assume adblock plus will improve to skip those too. And the fact there are other browser extensions like this one is very encouraging. I don't think I'll be watching youtube ads anytime soon.

I wish my phone browser could do browser extensions though... and I wish phone apps in general would go in the dumpster heap of history, especially when they're just wrappers for web browsers anyway, plus they steal your data and reselll it... why anyone uses phone apps for websites in this day is beyond me. Anyway the fact I can't use browser extensions on phone web browsers is outdated, and probably encourages some of the app use (which is probably intentional)

Youtube and all the streaming platforms are clueless as how to deliver ads. If ads wasn't against my religion I could make adblock useless within a week. I actually think they are scared to make adblock useless. Because in the past twitch for example have been able to. Then quickly reverted it when they saw they viewer numbers drop off a cliff. They need viewers who don't see ads because otherwise investors would pull out and they would go under.

That's interesting, I hadn't heard about that but it makes sense. They're trying to please the advertisers and the viewers at the same time
