The 'personal computer' era is coming to a close. It's going to be just like 1960 all over again.
Leased, locked-down terminals with no more programmability than a 'smartphone'. "Tampering" will be a federal felony. 'Your' data held hostage to monthly "subscription fees" on some CorproGov 'cloud'.
Better stock up on:
USB-sticks of your favorite linux iso. "Obsolete" hardware without 'secure-boot', TPM and Intel Management Engine (((Israel Inside)))
Goodwill and pawn shops may have some laying around.
